Setelah meninjau terminal Batoh (11/06) malam, Wakil Gubernur Aceh Ir. H. Nova Iriansyah, MT melanjutkan kunjungannya ke Pelabuhan Ulee Lheue pada Selasa pagi (12/06), rombongan yang didampingi Kadishub Aceh Junaidi, ST, MT, unsur PT. Jasa Raharja dan KSOP Malahayati memulai lawatannya dari meninjau posko pengobatan gratis yang disiapkan PT. Jasa Raharja bekerja sama dengan Polri di lobi pelabuhan. Selanjutnya rombongan meninjau kapal cepat Express Cantika 89 dan berdiskusi langsung dengan para penumpang yang akan menyeberang ke Sabang mengenai kenyamanan dan keamanan serta pelayanan kapal. Setelah meninjau kapal cepat, rombongan bergerak menuju kapal penyeberangan KMP Tanjung Burang, berdiskusi dengan masyarakat di atas kapal. Pada kesempatan ini juga, Kadishub Aceh memberikan penjelasan kepada Wagub Aceh tentang kesiapan angkutan penyeberangan. “Ada 7 lintasan penyeberangan di Aceh yang siap untuk mendukung kelancaran angkutan lebaran tahun 2018” kata Junaidi. Wagub merespon baik dan menyatakan bahwa koordinasi antar stakeholder angkutan penyeberangan sudah berjalan dengan baik, namun perlu dingat bahwa penumpang yang hendak ke Sabang, bukan hanya para pemudik, namun juga didominasi oleh wisatawan dalam maupun luar daerah, maka perlu diantisipasi lonjakan pasca lebaran.
